Whenever I think about how close xiao zhan and yibo were, even if it was under the guise of cql, the genuine care and friendship was there! It’s like when they were together it was a fucking refreshing breather from how they were expected to be, and who they were supposed to be
Xiao Zhan learns how to let loose a little, be as sassy as he wants to. Yibo learns how to rein in his temper and play nice during interviews. Xiao Zhan indulges in being taken care of. Yibo shows his more tactile, doting side.
curiosities about certain lacking qualities. How did it feel to train so young and so far away from home? How did it feel to grow up in a home, have friends, get a degree, get a job, live normally? Only to set it aside for the industry they’re in? Have they ever regretted it?
Yibo swooping in with his sharp words and his blunt attitude. Xiao Zhan placating the crowd to avoid the other from doing aegyo, knowing he dislikes it. Yibo drinking the green tea. Xiao Zhan playing online games. Equal respect in each other’s acting and work ethic.
Just the tiny gestures. Sure, the chemistry was there. But seeing them back in their own circles just heightens the realization how different they were during all of CQL. Rare to see such great people working together, both off and on screen.
