Everybody on the list including myself above has tweeted with questions about whether or not work search has been waived for NY UI claims. So far those inquires have been unadddressed by @NYSLabor. Right now, the tweets are being buried under a preponderance of complaints from
people who have been unable to file a claim due to problems with the phone line. I just wanted to tweet to encourage you to keep on tweeting at the dept of labor and relevant people. It may seem pointless but it will raise awareness that work search is presumably still in
effect as some people may have been misled by a tweet the dept of labor subsequently deleted and information in governor Coumo& #39;s email. Hopefully with time as people start to file successfully, they& #39;ll shift their efforts from complaining about filing to waiving work search after
they saw some of us tweet about the requirement. To increase the likelihood that your tweets will be seen by others before being buried by other tweets, I would turn on notifications to immediately see all tweets from @NYGovCuomo, @NYSLabor, and @NYSDOLCommish and if at all
possible make sure to be one of the first people to tweet under tweets of the relevant people. I would also encourage you to message the governor and your local state senator and assembly member and have family or friends message about work search as well. My pinned tweet has
a bunch of reason why waiving work search is a smart choice for New York and feel free to include those arguements if you decide to join the effort to get answers from politicians or the dept of labor. This is all up to you whether or not you want to do any of these things
of course but I was hoping to encourage people to continue their efforts and get more organized to raise awareness of the issue for other people to join and hopefully eventually reach a threshold of tweet volume where there& #39;s no choice but to respond to our questions Thank you!
