By popular demand, things that Americans do/have that I find odd as an Aussie:

Senior pictures. I do not want to memorialise that stage in my life with a full-on photo shoot. Apparently neither did anyone else in Australia.
Health insurance

Bachelorette weekends.
Recipes calling for a stick of butter.
Ooooh here’s a weird one about Australia. We fill up petrol at the pump first and then pay inside after. Biggest honour system out there!
8.5x11 paper. I actually like it better. It’s cuter than A4 because it’s shorter and wider

The size of sofa cups!!!! And free refills!! A large size in Aus is equivalent to a S here and there’s no free refills!
I do like the ma’am/sir/miss thing. It’s sweet and awesome when you coach kids and they actually respond with “yes ma’am” so you know they’ve been paying attention.
A fanny is not a booty in Australia. I have no desire to store things in my vagina-pack for easy access.
Oh and we call them bumbags

College sports. We went to uni to study, maybe join a special interest club, then went home. This probably needs to be a separate conversation. The amount of money made off amateurs is weird AF and people watching it on ESPN is baffling.
Crates for dogs.
