Sweden's "wave," is largely the same, if not performing better, than most lockdown countries. Rate of infection is equivalent to countries w similar conditions. Doomsday models said Sweden would be burning down by now. The modelers fundamentally didn't understand the virus.
Sweden is also a case study in personal responsibility. Reports out of Sweden indicate the streets are indeed quieter, but largely because ppl decide for themselves what risk they should be taking. Meanwhile, biz remains open, & they can avoid the total econ collapse scenario.
Total cases per 1 million pop:
Spain: 3625
Italy: 2638
USA: 1712
Netherlands: 1550
Israel: 1298
Norway: 1208
Denmark: 1091
Sweden: 1084

Another interesting case study is Finland, which cordoned off hotspot Helsinki (reverse of most total lockdown policies): 553
