The big issue the country has to tackle this week. The USPostal System is on the verge of collapse. Pres Trump is using the COVID crisis to run it into bankruptcy in order to privatize it. This is criminal. The postal service isn't a business but a critical public service ...

2/ It is literally invoked in the US constitution. Private parcel carriers have been using lobbyists for years to push it over the brink. It is critical to the economic vitality of the country, especially to rural areas which are not economic for private sector.

3/ During the COVID crisis we have yet another need for it which is that we likely won't be able to have a free and fair election without it. President Trump threatened to veto the entire rescue bill if there was any funding in it for the post office.

4/ This seems motivated partly by his feud with Bezos/Amazon, partly by advisors eager to privatize it, partly by efforts to prevent vote by mail and likely by UPS, Fedex, DHL who have his ear and want it destroyed. It's the USA v Trump again.
