Hey comic nerds: name a comic series that you have collected as a complete run of issues (not collected tpbs or hardbacks - single issues)? And Why?
2001 by Jack Kirby because it’s probably his greatest work.
Dread Star by Jim Starlin - I have every issue, gn, collection and other versions of these comics including the recent self published omnibuses
Whisper by a Steven Grant and various artists.
Eightball by Daniel Clowes - the greatest comic series ever.
Savage Dragon by @ErikJLarsen - ongoing!
Black Hole by Charles Burns.
Swamp Thing - the original run by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson.
Trying to complete my Rick Veitch Swamp Thing run, but still missing several.
Speaking of Rick Veitch... that list would be too long, but I intend to someday have a longbox devoted to his work.
Shade The Changing Man - the original Steve Ditko rum. Some of Ditko most fun work... I also intend to have a longbox of Ditko someday... ima about halfway there.
Beavis and Butthead by Rick Parker.
This one is a little embarrassing but i was young then: i have probably every issue and spin-off, crossover garbage issue of the Spider-Man clone saga from the 90s. Not proud of that heap.
Complete set of the eclipse run of Lone Wolf and Cub. I know it’s not the complete original series, but I love the format and the essays and cover art
Wait - I meant First Comics, not eclipse... I was also looking at my Eclipse run of Kamui.
