so, I've realized I was targeted by some bots so I decided to do some research about the subject. I'll go sharing findings and thoughts through the day. I know a lot of small channels are getting targeted and mistsking it for genuine interactions.

1) calm down. This is new. We don't know why this people are doing what they're doing. 2nd) lately there's been an influx of mindless comments kn my videos. I'd distinguish them from genuine ones bc of their content, the fact that they're new accounts (from 1-3 days), etc

this follows some complaints by some ppl having a channel called tim/tomcomment their vid minutes after uploading with a bot-like message. so i was aware and started looking into every account that commented that I didn't recognize from before. roughly 90% was new and private sub

this means no possibility to check if they're a genuine account of someone who, f.e., comes from another channel where they mention me, and someone who's targeting me bc of what godforsaken reason you can think. bc that's the problem: I DON'T KNOW WHY THIS IS HAPPENING

my guess is as good as yours: i cannot trace these bots to see who else has used them and/or where. so if you've received general positive comments from ppl with generic names do not mistake this as genuine interactions. they're not and they might be harmful to your channel

the best course of action regarding these is to report them, as with every bot or spam account. remove the comment. if it's a real person, they'll leave another one eventually. maybe you cna address this issue during your next vid, and ask new people to comment there.

notice i keep calling bthem people. i do believe there's s purpose for them bots coming together snd going after a 130 sub account and though I don't know it I don't wanna take part in it.
