A reminder that many of the beloved "urban ballparks" weren& #39;t urban because they were built in dense areas - they were urban because dense areas were allowed to grow up around them, unlike today when they& #39;re surrounded by parking lots. https://twitter.com/OTBaseballPhoto/status/1249712750072389633">https://twitter.com/OTBasebal...
What would downtown-proximate Dodger Stadium look like if we connected it to the subway and then let a dense urban neighborhood grow in its ocean of parking? (LA& #39;s sky-high housing costs would easily make a very high level of density financially viable) https://twitter.com/Hendyhendel/status/1249730652775333888">https://twitter.com/Hendyhend...
Yup https://twitter.com/WineJerk/status/1249735250252455937">https://twitter.com/WineJerk/...
The other frustrating thing about it is that, as I understand it, deadbeat former Dodgers owner Frank McCourt still owns all the Dodger Stadium parking so a rezoning would represent a huge windfall for a huge scumbag
