Doug is annoying. He's an absolutely boring nothing character in an absolutely boring nothing show that was never good that ppl only remember because they were bored too. I say almost because Disney's Doug somehow manages to ruin a show whose entire premise is based on this nasally, milquetoast, unfunny dweeb (HIS LAST NAME IS FUNNIE GET IT GET IT GET IT GET IT) who fantasizes abt being a quail in underwear & I hate it. I hate everything about it.

Doug is every “weaselly nice-guy white dude nerd w/o a personality who grows up to be a creep & doesnt know why everyone thinks he's a creep” trope. I was a nerd growing up & I wanted to shove him into a locker on principle. He isnt a bully but he IS a whiny, entitled shitbeagle.

Doug is both pathetically helpless and self-inducingly hapless about the problems in his life, many of which he causes, while actively whining his way towards solve none of those problems himself but "oh no please feel sorry for him he's so relatable"

I used to not hate Doug such a vitriolic degree but I admit that I've never liked it. Like... Nick Doug had problems but Disney took those problems & MAGNIFIED them. And then, Disney chose to make a 1,000 Doug clones to the point where Sat mornings were filled with DOUG VARIANTS.

Doug's friends have good things happen in their life? OH NO SAYS DOUG, FOCUS ON ME! Doug's friends have something bad going on? OH NO HOW CAN DOUG WEDGE HIMSELF INTO THEIR PROBLEMS! Patti Mayonnaise is *breathing*! OH NO WHY CANT SHE BE ABOUT DOUG LETS WATCH HIM DREAM ABOUT HER.

Doug is self entitled, whiny, spoiled, and oblivious to everything around him. Every resolution is handed to him on silver platter. His lessons are unearned & he went to high school in a building shaped like a girl's head b/c REASONS. Both versions of your cartoon were never good

Doug is the mayonaissiest (PUN INTENDED) most whitebread toon in existence. The only series more whitebread/offensively bland than Doug is Archie but at least Archie "thrives" on a barest minimum quota of stereotypes which in-&-of-itself is a FEAT. "Let's make Skeeter blue" STFU
