Oneus is a group that has become really special to me in a short amount of time. I love them and thought I’d do a thread so all of you could get to know them more and hopefully love them as much as I do! It’s kinda long, so buckle up!

Let’s Go:
Oneus is a boy group consisting of 6 members: Ravn, Seoho, Leedo, Keonhee, Hwanwoong, and Xion. They debuted on January 9th, 2019 with the song Valkyrie (a whole bop). Their company is RBW Ent (brother group to Mamamoo), and their official fan name is ToMoon.
Here are their official colors
A side note: oneus is linked to another group Onewe, but they’re a band and not so much an idol group. They both have members that were on the shows Mix Nine and Produce 101.

(You can’t stan Oneus without stanning Onewe. They’re a package deal. Ion make the rules)
The Music:

Oneus debut song Valkyrie is probably their most popular to date. Valkyrie is from their first mini album “Light Us”. Valkyrie is an uptempo dance tune with beautiful guitar riffs and a heavier sound that incorporates hip-hop elements.
Valkyrie has two meanings: the first is the obvious Valkyrie from Norse mythology. The second is that Valkyrie sounds similar to “to light up” in Korean, which is going to be important for their tracks and albums to come.
Oneus second mini album, Raise Us, features the title track Twilight. Twilight is one of my personal favorite Onues songs. Twilight has a lot of symbolism and poetic lyrics again pertaining to light a theme they carry for a bit. The song is a sound I feel is distinct to Oneus.
Twilight has an EDM feel to it, but it still has the similar guitar loops and percussion and vibe that fits these boys so well. However, this songs sound isn’t as hard hitting as Valkyrie, but I love it nonetheless.
Lit, on the album Fly With Us (probably my favorite album), has influence from Eastern sounds. It brings together hip-hop production and traditional instruments which I love. I think lit is a really fun song (the music video and lyrics are really fun)
Lit Concept Photo bc I love.
Now we get to their most recent comeback (released March 24th) with the title A Song Written Easily (ASWE) which will be featured in their single album In It’s Time. ASWE is a bit different than their previous title tracks, but in my opinion it still carries their sound.
The song has a very refreshing feel with the mv having beautiful nature shots. The whistling instrumental is the catcher in this song. Despite it being a dance track, the melody is catchy and easy going.
I will end the thread by saying: their title tracks are not entirely indicative of the rest of their albums. If you like consistent up tempo music Oneus probably isn’t the band for you (but some of their songs still may be). Check out the thread of the members below!
