I feel like a solid portion of the MCU fandom is a bunch of people who saw Avengers (2012) and got swindled into thinking the rest of the franchise was gonna be a compelling found family narrative

I only got super deep into the fandom within the last couple years but I do remember seeing Avengers in 2012 and loving it and reblogging a bunch of “domestic Avengers” stuff on Tumblr and then I saw AOU and was like “uhhh could we have just had 2 hours of that Tower party??”
