Yellow is very much a "present" thinker. Blue is all about glorifying and romanticizing the past. of course Yellow would put all her affeorts and attention on her current most important person, the one who is still alive- Blue.

While Blue would spend hours and hours grieving and talking about someone who is no longer there- Pink. But that doesnt mean Blue loves Pink more than Yellow, and it doesnt mean Yellow loved Pink less than Blue.

in fact, Blue would rave on and on about how close she and Pink were, but in reality she's much closer to Yellow, and the show doesnt tell us that- it shows us that. like, Pink would cry at Blue's face and Blue would still fail to understand why she's hurting,

but Yellow- Yellow, this brick wall of emotional denial, this gem who would manifest her very deep emotions into rage and anger (a much less "readable" response to situations, god knows how many fans she mislead with this attitude) Blue reads perfectly well.

She knows Yellow feels frustrated with their job, and that she's suffering in silence. you have to care a lot for someone in order to pay such close attention to their feelings despite them doing everything they can to hide it, ESPECIALLY from you.

Blue might seem selfish on the surface, and in a lot of ways, she is. but that doesnt mean she's not attentive, and alert, to those she cares about.

Blue and Yellow are a special case in the Diamonds Authority- theyre the only 2 Diamonds who had a backbone of support, and as a result they were the ones who were the most trusting of the 4. Pink and White were entirely alone..

and just as much as its true that Yellow was Blue's unyielding backbone, the SAME can be said about Blue. this is the hill i'll die on.
