When was the first time you felt genuinely worried that the coronavirus outbreak was going to be something out of the ordinary/would affect your daily life/would pose a threat to large swaths of people in your country?
For me, I think that was in the days leading up to a concert I went to on February 16. I remember debating whether it was worth going because being in large groups of people just sounded like a bad idea.
I'm really weird about germs, generally, so I was trying to balance what are often irrational worries about getting sick with the entirely rational worry about getting sick.
The first weekend in March, Kayla and I met up with a couple friends to go out for a quick lunch. I was googling "is it safe to eat at restaurants" and stuff, but figured that I was just being paranoid. Since then, we've been pretty locked in.
