All rates of income tax should be increased *significantly*, especially the bottom rates.
There's nothing wrong with billionaires specifically, their wealth simply reflects demand for an asset they own. This is exactly the same as how the prices of all goods are determined, it's not a special case.
We should not limit migration (although we should still perform customs checks).
UBI is a terrible welfare policy in that it's almost impossible to make it sufficiently generous.
We should adopt Canadian-style abortion laws (or lack of such, as the case may be).
In addition to general decriminalisation, certain less harmful drugs - including some of those currently considered Class A - should face less strict sales restrictions than alcohol or tobacco.
VAT should be increased on the proviso that welfare spending is significantly increased.
We should've deployed troops to Ukraine in 2014, and we should've developed a plan along the lines of Operation Haven to deploy in Syria at some point in the past 8 years.
Planning authorities and development plans should have their remit gutted. No more minimum parking space requirements, get rid of the site designations. Let streets of bungalows turn themselves into terraces.
All rail routes in this country should be open access. No franchises, no management contracts.
We'd be much better off if the government let economists make more decisions about the way our country works.
