Uzair, an 18 year old who suffers from a pellet injury to his right eye, was arrested on Aug 6 and taken to a jail outside of Kashmir, thousands of kms away from his family. #ReleaseKashmiriPrisoners

Ayaz Akbar's plea on humanitarian grounds to be with his ailing wife, who has stage 4 cancer, has been rejected several times by the special court. #ReleaseKashmiriPrisoners

Masrat Alam, 49, led the 2010 people’s uprising against Indian occupation. He has been slapped with 36 Public Safety Acts. #releasekashmiriprisoners

Shabir Ahmad Shah is also known as the “Nelson Mandela of Kashmir” and the head of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party. Due to his long imprisonments, Shah has grown weak and is suffering from heart ailments. #ReleaseKashmiriPrisoners

Zahid was arrested when the J&K police raided his home on the intervening night of 5th and 6th August. When his family went to meet him on for Eid-Ul-Adha, they informed them he was moved to a jail outside of the state with NO details on his whereabouts #ReleaseKashmiriPrisoners

Ghulam Qadir Bhat is one of the longest serving political prisoners of #Kashmir. His wife, Hajira Begum, died in 2009 after a painful 14-year wait for her husband. #ReleaseKashmiriPrisoners

Altaf Ahmad Shah, a leader of the Tehreek-e-Huriyat has been jailed in Tihar since 2017. He is diabetic and is insulin dependent. #ReleaseKashmiriPrisoners
