here’s a thread about my dogs, Blake & Butters. Blake is a four year old Aussie. She’s beautiful

I used to take her for runs when we first adopted her and midway through the run she would just stop and refuse to run anymore so we would end up walking home.
Blake was meant to be my dog so after I graduated college I would bring her up to minnesota or wherever I went for grad school. But she barks at everything and anything that moves. Incessantly. She barks at anyone who comes to the door and I live in an apartment. Can’t have that
she’s such a sweetheart. So *enter* the chaotic goodness that is Butters.
Butters, a year old, Australian cattle dog mixed with something has endless energy and he’s an only child, right? It’s just the two of us in my WA apartment. We run, hike, and walk. He loves attention and honestly he’s weird.
*cue pandemic* my sis and I drove to TX to stay with our parents we are v lucky and fortunate. Butters is a fantastic road trip buddy. He basically sleeps until we stop somewhere.
We stopped one night in Provo and anytime I left the room this happened.
We arrive to TX. Butters and Blake do not get along. At. All. She’s terrified of him and he just wants to play, but fights have broken out over bones. They’re both a wee lil possessive over their toys.
That’s not butters or Blake! That’s Finn, my sister’s dog. He’s five months old wheeeeew. Anyway, back to butters and Blake. I have no pictures of them bc they don’t rly get along.
But last night butters and Blake BOTH slept in my room last night. After my sis left around 11pm Blake refused to leave. I awoke at one point and they both were sleeping on the bed. Butters was curled up right next to me and Blake was at the foot of the bed.
At some point in the night, my door was left opened and my dad let the dogs outside early this morning. Butters and Blake both came back into the room and slept until 8am. Blake at the end and Butters right next to me. Yay almost frens! Anyway that’s the end of my thread.
