Key idea is that common management "good sense" can lead you astray in a crisis. Four lessons: 1. Rather than wait for info, must act with urgency.
Lesson 2: Rather than downplay the threat and withhold bad news, must communicate with transparency.
Lesson 3: Rather than double down to explain your actions after missteps, take responsibility and focus on problem-solving.
Lesson 4: Rather than always staying the course, engage in constant updating.
