Got a press screener for @RIPTIDEwres THE STORM show so decided to watch and review.
A thread.
1. Damon Moser & Paul Robinson v Gene Munny & Millie McKenzie. Good opener. Not a fan of intergender but Millie was really good in this. Reminds me of PWG Candice LeRae. Everyone else was good too. Don't know why Munny wears tape on his nipples as it looks stupid.
Moser looked good. Robinson is a good heel and has a lot of charisma but he looks like a JAG in his shit boot cut jeans.
Oh and I dig these match intros done on an old television. Unique presentation.
2. Warren Banks v TK Cooper.
Another fun match. Banks especially impressed me. Cooper is good too.
I like the use of subtitles letting the viewer know what's being said. Also I don't always know what people from the UK are saying.
3. Chuck Mambo v Travis Banks.
This was a really good match. Didn't care for Mambo in Progress but his presentation in Riptide is so much better. Travis Banks worked his ass off on this non-WWE show which was nice. Liked the near falls in the closing stretch.
4. Mad Kurt v Killer Kelly.
This was ok.
I like Kelly, she looked good here.
First time seeing Mad Kurt, he was fine.
There was a point where the ref said don't spread Corona to Kurt which I thought was dumb considering how many people are in this tiny enclosed space in March.
Good promo from Mike Bird. Really well shot, good music in the background. Told the story of his match with Cara Noir for a casual Riptide viewer like me.
5. Mike Bird v Cara Noir.
This was pretty good. Really intense match. Ref bumps that made sense in the overall context of the match.
I like Cara Noir though he does need more feathers on his Capris pants.
Another well done and creative promo this time from Spike Trivet.
An excellent video package on Jordon Breaks whom I'm really high on talking about his love for the city of Brighton.
6. Spike Trivet v Jordon Breaks - Brighton Championship match.
Glad to see that Trivet has got new gear. The pants with the red piping are a big improvement over the striped pants he was wearing before.
The match itself was ok but I never felt it shifted into another gear. Also not a fan of the finish.
Overall a fun show especially if you need something to watch and want to see something that has an audience watching it.
I like Riptide's presentation overall with their camerawork and video packages and booking.
