why the drama HAVE TO STOP in the mr. robot fandom, a thread:
so you’re all aware that lately there was a lot of drama for multiple reasons, if you’re not aware you can just move on and be kind with everyone, this thread is for everyone who was closely or remotely involved
it has come to my attention that lately some people are sending death threats and are bodyshaming wich is unacceptable. in the past some people were even sending RACIST comments!
someone is clearly enjoying this whole messed up situation anonymously to fuck with all of us! everyone i know from the fandom (from both "sides" of the conflict) is mature enough to not be this stupid and disgusting so it has to be someone from the outside
if you sent those and are currently reading this, i swear that if i get your stupid sadistic ass i will NOT be nice. telling people that they should die? really? are you even aware of how dangerous and fucked up this is?
anyhoo, all of this shit started over ships.. seriously? are we 12? are we on tumblr? both sides have their wrong and we could all have shared our opinions without fighting, but we didn’t, which lead us to this shitty situation
also let’s not forget that some of us are adults and some are literally children! people are arguing with children! over ships!
in the fandom, there’s a large majority of poc, queers and disabled people.. we’re facing hatred everyday in society and instead of all getting along and stand up together to get stronger we’re fighting each others on twitter? for real?
we should have clear this up from the beginning, i ship both tyrelliot and domlene. both ship are toxic, and both are fetishizing in there own way (sam is an het guy after all) but this is fictive! it’s only a tv show! and REAL people are suffering rn over fiction!
we all come from different backgrounds, we all face discrimination, and we all are going through difficult times rn, people are dying, homeless people are isolated, pocs are more than ever victims of police brutality, and abused people are forced to stay home with their abuser
and here we are, arguing on twitter over a tv show! do you all realise how childish this is? if someone is sending threats again or being immature, let’s collectively ignore them and not give them the attention they seek so bad cause this is clearly the behavior of a manipulator
for god sake, mr. robot is a show about mental health! i have 0 tolerance over bullying and i will not allow that some people doesn’t feel safe on twitter and in this fandom just because we doesn’t share the same opinion over something fictive!
for ONCE, we have a nice show, with an accurate representation of mental health issues, strong women, pocs, muslim representation, and queer characters (while not being the main subject like every other pinkwashed netflix show) and we can’t enjoy it?
ship domlene, ship tyrelliot, ship elleon, ship angelliot, hell even tyrangela and sandwich guy with his sandwich if it makes you happy! we should not care (as long as it’s legal and moral ofc!) let’s enjoy this show for what it is: a masterpiece (with flaws, but still)
