Look, I won’t hate on your zoom/livestream service; you don’t hate on my drive-in service.

I am the only staff member of an aging rural congregation. Doing a livestream would require me to do IT for 30 households that I can’t enter, learn all the stuff myself

And install internet wires where there aren’t any currently.

We are all doing the best we can, and trying to serve our contexts.

So much of the garbage I see on this website is folks who don’t even realize that the things they are advocating for are only possible because they live in the places empire remembers. Check that privilege and pour out a decent shot of espresso for your rural buds.

As long as y’all are here, let me just say that I am done having conversations with my phone company where they sell me an internet package and then cancel it 3 days later when they find out where exactly I live. Especially when I try to tell them that’s what is going to happen.
