Our first artist featured today will be Chloe! Chloe created three separate pieces for this year’s installation. However, the artwork is officially in quarantine at the Women’s Center due to the stay-at-home order. We will be posting the descriptions of each one. (1/10)
This first piece that Chloe created is called “Unity”. She states, “This piece is about unity of women coming together. Even through differences, through all of it we can all still come together.” (2/10)
The image created for this description is deep purple, with “Unity” in large letters at the top. Below the title is the description stated in this thread, with moving stars below the words. (3/10)
The next work of art that Chloe created is called “blinded”. Chloe's description states, "This piece has a lot of symbolic meaning and the way I see things. The big idea is when I was creating, I was focused on the ways in which women are often "blinded" by a lot. (4/10)
..."Women are blinded by life and society in general which can be beautiful because everyone has beauty, but sometimes people don't see that. There are social expectations of what we should do, but really you can be yourself. The lioness herself is beautiful..." (5/10)
..."but she is blinded by all the things that haunts her." This image created for her description is dark green, with "Blinded", the title, emphasized at the top. There is a picture of a lioness next to her description. (6/10)
The last piece Chloe created is called “Gone With The Wind”. Chloe stated, "This piece has been something I have been working on for a very long time and have over 30 different versions of this sketched out. All of my art is a big release factor for myself;..." (7/10)
.."a lot is going on in my life. This one reflects a lot of what I was feeling when I made it and I made this for my great grandma. She loved birds and butterflies. It is okay to fall apart. (8/10)
…"While going through growth and change, you still have time to fall apart and that's okay" (9/10)
The photo created for this is a tan background. The title "Gone with the wind" is emphasized at the top. To the left, there is a black and white bird, along with a leaf animated to appear falling in the wind. There is also a pink, green, and yellow butterfly to the right. (10/10)
