By the time we realize how serious covid-19 is in Ghana and why we were told to stay home it will be too late. And this the sad part, when someone you knew gets the virus and dies or your whole neighborhood is empty because most have been taking down by the virus.

And you cant help it but cry. And the government becomes more aggressive with a total lockdown deploying military men all over the country, that you cant even get out for supplies or because the shop owners themselves got the virus and died.

Thats when we would say "we should have listened, we should have stayed home" but then its too late. We would wish to get these early days back and do things differently. l bet thats how peeps in Italy, US, Uk etc feel right now. But u cant go back.

There's a story about "patient 31" in South Korea. She is responsible for about 80% of infected cases because she didn't stay at home, she didn't listen to WHO or gov't directives. And now she and her church, Shincheonji are facing legal action for causing murder in South Korea.

Patient 31 was involved in a minor accident and was admitted, nurses advised her to get tested because she showed symptoms of covid-19 which she refused. She was discharged, went home, had a buffet with a couple of friends, attended church service 2x

With over 9k people were present at each service. She fell sick again after and this time agreed to be tested and tested positive for covid-19. One member of her church had also traveled across town to a funeral in this period. She didnt know she had the virus from Patient 31

Over 1k people tested positive after weeks from patient 31's church. Approximately each of them had also made contacts during their incubation period. Traveling, visiting etc. The funeral woman had also sent it across town. you cant go to funeral and not make contacts

All these started with one woman been stubborn and selfish, Patient 31 and thats exactly how we are behaving now. Having parties, going to church and beaches, visiting friends etc. You can carry the virus for about 11 days without showing symptoms of illness.

Imagine the number of people you would have passed it to before your first symptom and the number they would also pass it to before their first symptom, and the number they too would have passed it to before their first symptom. It goes on and on that way.

Hence the high infection rate, its not very deadly because most of the patients recover. The rate of infection is the problem and the economic and social breakdown after this pandemic is alarming. At the time of this thread over 2k new cases and 100k new deaths around the world.

Its still just 12 pm, the day is not over yet. I believe the UK, Italy, US, Spain all have their own Patient 31. Just stay home. When you go out to get supplies treat everyone you meet as the virus. Dont put your family at risk for your own selfish gain. Stay at home #COVID2019
