Yesterday's leaked report laid bare the appalling antics of some at Labour HQ. We always knew they hated Jeremy, but I hope it is clear to those from other wings of our party that they deeply hated them too. (1/6)
We need to channel our anger of what could have been in ‘17 into serving our communities & our people during this crisis, taking forward our radical programme into a new decade. When we come out of this crisis, the solutions to our problems will need to be as bold as ever. (2/6)
I hope my own union, who’s members I’ve been proud to serve over many years as a lay member and activist, review the type of people it recruits into senior positions on the back of this. These people do not have the best interests of our Party or our movement at heart. (3/6)
These people put themselves and their egos above all else. The racism, mental health slurs, bullying and misogyny is plain for all to see. They will undermine any leadership that isn't entirely their own, including our new leadership. (4/6)
The disdain they hold for even mild social democracy is truly alarming. Labelling anyone to the left of Gordon Brown as a ‘trot’ shows their political ignorance. (5/6)
We have to learn the lessons of such evidence, submitted or not. Our people need a Labour Government above all else. I will work tirelessly alongside my parliamentary colleagues, our activists and our trade unions to that end. (6/6)
