(1) Sampa is one of the oldest dorms in UP and until now hindi pa rin naayos ung karamihan sa mga facilities. Luma na ang mga iyon at delikado para sa mga patients na nagsasuffer sa respiratory illnesses.

(...)Meaning, hindi siya suitable to house possible covid patients kasi baka mas bumilis pa ung pagcontract ng virus.

(2) Walang social distancing. Mga around 2m lang ang mga corridors at magkakatapat ang room. It will be unsafe for both sa patients and sa mga mag-aalaga sa kanila. Kahit na sabihin na may rooms na ile-leave as vacants, hindi pa rin 100% sure ung safety nila don.

(3) Walang sariling bathroom per room and isa lang na bathroom per corridor na may around 16 cubicles, 8 for shower and 8 for toilet. You don& #39;t expect the patients to share the same cubicles again and again?

(...) Isa pa, hindi maganda ang condition ng banyo sa sampa. I swear! It& #39;s really uncomfortable for us dormers, paano pa sa mga patients?

(5) May 17 residents pa na nandoon and based on what was told sa gc namin, they will be transferred sa may balay dorms which is malapit sa area ng UP na may mga PUM. Iaalay nalang sila ganun? Paano naman yung safety nila?

(6) Marami pang natirang gamit don. Kahit ako, hindi ko man lang naayos mga gamit ko and mind you sobrang dami non. It will be hard for the remaining residents na itransfer lahat ng gamit namin.

De bale sana kung mga damit lang yun, pero maraming mga appliances and cabinets don. Yung mga umuwi rin na residents, hindi naman lahat yon from Manila lang. Pano ung mga galing pa sa malalayong provinces like sa Visayas n Mindanao?

(7) The main reason na pinili raw ang sampa ay dahil "malayo sa kabihasnan". But it doesn& #39;t mean na porket malayo siya sa mga tao and establishments ay safe na yung mga titira don. Given the conditions na ni-raise ko earlier, baka mas hindi pa makatulong sa patients.

(8) May ipapasagot daw na survey ung admin sa& #39;min. Pero ung mga resident officers na mismo namin nagsabi na in-instruct daw sila na i-avoid yung "no" as an option. Meaning, wala rin pala talaga kaming say abt this. What would the survey even entail?!

Wala pa ring clear details kung paano talaga mangyayari but as early as now, we really don& #39;t think na sampa would be a suitable hub for possible covid patients. Sobrang daming loopholes and it might become unsafe both for the residents and the patients.

My co-dormers are still planning to make a petition and letter to chancy but we want the decision to be dismissed sana or at least give us a considerable option. Like what i said, kahit nga sa survey parang hindi na kami binibigyan ng choice.

This is not just for sampa but for the other up dorms as well. Maybe they could look for spaces with better facilities but definitely not sampa. Unless they& #39;ll be able to give a very efficient solution, we will continue to oppose this decision.
