I used to go for walks with a chronically ill friend who had to sometimes lie down. I kept a map of routes that had benches and lawns close enough together. Without resting every few minutes, he would& #39;ve been stuck at home.
The main job was to just sit next to him though...
... To stop people from asking questions or tell him that you couldn& #39;t lie there. To make it look like a fun situation to the passers by.
I would take out a book or something, chat, to make it look more casual. Because some people suck. Some people just have a deeply set need to deny people who HAVE TO rest so they won& #39;t be in agony that right until they actually are in agony, unable to function.
Maybe keep that in mind before you yell at someone who stopped moving for a minute out there. Maybe consider that some of us know when they have to stop for a minute so we won& #39;t break down. Thanks.
We& #39;ve gone from PLEASE OFFER ME A SEAT badges and sunflower lanyards to yelling pretty fast, haven& #39;t we.
