This isn't a particularly innovative idea, but might be interesting. One of the challenges with basic T20 batting stats is that averages don't tell you a lot, but almost everything else is either too complicated or too simplistic.

What about 'Typical Innings?'

So, Andre Russell's batting average is 28, and his RR is 10rpo.

But in the (mean) average innings, he scores 20 runs, and faces 12 balls. His 'Typical Innings' would be 20 (12), so that's the shorthand we use.

Kohli? 33 (24)

Babar? 35 (28)

Buttler? 25 (17)

Maxwell? 23 (15)
Gets around the issue of not outs skewing the average for finishers, and also gives you a decent indicator of the sort of player they are.

Wouldn't be useful analytically, but would be nice for general discussion. Am sure others have already mentioned similar.
