okay but hear me out

third years bakugou and midoriya coming back to UA after summer break and everything’s,, different. from their appearance to the weird way they act around each other - turns out they spent the summer together doing dumb teenager shit and are now secretly +

dating.

the first day back to school, bakugou comes in, his hair cut in an undercut, a lip piercing in, tattoos on his hands, and to no ones surprise, his uniform a mess. he walked over to his friends and pumped shoulders with kiri, saying a quick “hi” as he sat down. +

his friends looked at him, a look that could only be described as “wtf” was over all of their faces at bakugous soft greeting.
“what?” bakugou said with a raised eyebrow as he leaned back in his chair, “not allowed to say hi to my friends or somethin?” +

kami grasped, mina smiled so wide it looked like her face would break, sero clutched his heart, while kiri just laughed. “you are, bakubro.”
“awww you just called us your friends-“ kaminari’s voice drifted off as he looked at the door of the classroom in shock+

in walked izuku with his headphones in and his book bag slung carelessly over his shoulder. he looked,, even more different than bakugou. his hair was also cut into an undercut, with a septum piercing and a smiley. he also had a tattoo, instead this one being on the side of +

his neck. his uniform wasn’t like it usually was either, there was no tie in sight and his shirt wasn’t done all the way up.
he walked over to his friend group, taking only one headphone out as he greeted them. his smile from finally seeing them clearly showing off his smiley +

piercing.
“bro,, what happened to midoriya?” sero asked as he followed kaminaris gaze,”did you guys get matching makeovers or something?” he looked at bakugou.
bakugou snorted, “no dumbass. i guess the nerd grew some balls.” +

he leaned a bit in his chair to get a better view of izuku and izuku looked back, sensing bakugous eyes on him.
izuku laughed as they caught each other’s eyes, which in turn caused bakugou to snicker.
meanwhile both friendgroups looked at them in utter confusion.

their weird behaviour continued throughout the day. halfway through english class todoroki watched as izuku’s pencil snapped, only for bakugou to have another one already held out to him.
in heroes studies the next day, mina watched as izuku passed a water bottle to katsuki +

not even looking up from his notebook as he did so.
in the dorms on saturday, tsu, uraraka, iida and momo watched in amazement as izuku and katsuki made food, easily working around/with each other. they didn’t talk, they just moved. +

the last straw for class 3-A was during training. katsuki and izuku were playing the hereos against todoroki and uraraka who were the villains. their classmates watched as they communicated in what seemed like ASL, and even some of their own signs +

when they did talk, it was through code words that no one else understood. they moved fluently and together, not once dragging the other down. there was no fights, no yelling, no going off by themselves.
they worked perfectly together.
no one was shocked when they won. +

so when the training was over, and izuku and katsuki was nowhere to be seen, the rest of Class 3-A collectively decided to figure out what the hell was going on between the two.
