Rs have wanted to privatize the post office for a long time. Since now they might actually do it, here’s some background.

Advocates of privatizing criticize the USPS either way. The line now is that it should be private bc it’s not profitable. But a main reason for the above attacks was that USPS was *too* profitable, and many Rs objected to that profit going to govt instead of the private sector
