What you believe about God is important. Don’t let rude smart people put you off theology.

Every time you read the bible & conclude a point you are practicing theology: study of God.

Pray hard, question everything, be okay with not knowing anything.

Always ask WHY? The best way to grow is to get understanding.

Wisdom is the principle thing, Get wisdom, in all thy getting: get understanding.

Wisdom builds, understanding establishes.

Christ is the wisdom of God - Christ will build you up.

Understanding takes you on a journey of discovering & being rooted It causes you to obey wholeheartedly.

“Give me understanding & I shall keep Your law; Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart.”
Psalms 119:34 NKJV

Another prayer point that I credit to my solid foundation in Christ is praying the prayers in the bible.

“that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding ...

...being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,”
— Ephesians 1:17-18 NKJV

I prayed this regularly for YEARS.

Pray the word, it endures forever.

Find creative ways to study the bible. If you dont like “reading”, sermons, audio bible.

Nowadays my sermons are actually a mindmap on paper with different colours, do what suits you, that ensures you grow in your understanding.

Have group talks and debate your beliefs.

Get into the habit of defending what you believe.

But BEWARE, with much knowledge, increases pride, but LOVE edifies. (Ref: 1 Cor 8).

ALWAYS speak truth IN love. Seek to build not prove a point.
