Polyamory, non-monogamy, open relationships

This appears to be a hot topic within the community, I’ve done multiple polls on it and they’ve been closely split. I might also piss many of my followers off on this thread

Ofc, something isn’t good just because “it’s a choice”, but I don’t see anything bad about non-monogamy. A criticism I see is that the new-age liberal embrace of polyamory is just a scam to get women to give sexual access to more men regardless of what’s actually good, but that

wouldn’t be an inherent fault of the lifestyle itself. The cultural coercion would be the problem. Poly relationships might even be a potential improvement for women bc more communal lifestyles take the burden of childcare and housework off of women.

And don’t forget that monogamy is also seeped in patriarchal dynamics, neither is automatically better or worse.

I don’t agree with mindlessly celebrating or denigrating anything. Or personally attacking people for their lifestyle. I’m not fully decided on this issue and I’m open to having my mind changed either way.
