Also has reeks of this problem I see a lot in film critique where if a main character is flawed or doesn’t behave exactly like the reviewer would that’s a flaw on the whole film. I can almost here that Cinema Sins ‘ding!’ when I read it

“Character does something, me a person with a completely different perspective on life would not do” DING! This movie is terrible!

“The PROTAGONIST has done something I don’t like or are flawed. Hey, you’re supposed to be a blank vessel I project myself into because I can only enjoy a story if they behave exactly like I think I would.” DING!
