The notion of clean patronage from 'the abroad', from Germany of all places, is the refuge of the morally confused as well as cynical scoundrels, and looks tenable, in part, because Nigerians are more critical of their own institutions than they are of Western institutions.
I have said it before and I will say it again: I think El Rufai is a sociopath but if Kaduna State Government offered me money to put on a literary festival, I will take it. My only concern would be to put on the best and most inclusive literary show possible.
Not a few artists, who are my contemporaries, think the solution to the moral dilemma of patronage is 'the abroad'. LoL! You are welcome to all the convenience of that position. YOLO! But, I'll extend the same understanding to NLNG geng, LASG geng, OGSG geng, KADSG geng etc
I have taken German culture funding before, and I used it to the best of my ability. You don't have anything to teach me about German institutions. Go back to your grandstanding act. You really never had a career that could stand without a measure of moral entrepreneurship.
