The oldest Ratha yatra of East Bengal
said to have began at Katiadi, Kishoreganj. Raja Nabarang Ray constructed the Gopinath temple in 1585 CE. Mahaprabhu too have spend 3/4 days here according to the 16th century Vaishnava poet of Kishoreganj, Shri Nityananda Dasa.
The old temple received significant damage during the 1897 earthquake. Vigraha has been shifted to the new temple now which you can see in the first tweet. There are total 3 Rathas which belong to Shri Gopinathjeu. The total journey is one km long. One of the longest in BD.
Jagannath dev of Handial village of Pabna is the oldest Jagannath vigraha of the entire Bangladesh. Temple was constructed sometime around 1400-1500 CE. You can see the Sudarshan Chakra & Dhwaja changing ceremony by Vaishnav monks. Probably ISKCON has taken over it now.
