Let’s talk about white coats

A thread

If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know my stance on white coats.

They are a symbol of expertise and prestige.

I think they should only be worn by the appropriate experts and specialists.

Only in specific circumstances are they appropriate for non-experts.

Sometimes experts the privilege and engage in white coat marketing.

This thread isn’t about that behavior though.

Just wanted to mention it because it is an issue.
