It’s so easy to forget that we are in a privileged position, some with a house, a wall and a gate to shield us. So when you say people should be beaten for failing to stay at home, remember others don’t have these things. So use your privilege to augment their plight...
I was one of those who was unhappy about people running back to their villages for fear of community spread. what I failed to recognize was these people spend less to nothing in their hometowns. Imagine, three weeks in Accra with no work, no roof over over your head & no food.
It’s a scary situation right now, cos you and I are exposed to a lot more information in the world. But we live in a country where a whole village is taking akpeteshie against this coronavirus! For as long as we have such people education is key, not whip them like animals!
Our security are quick to apply brute force and have not hesitated to apply it in circumstances where a little intelligence and tact was needed! case in point- Ashaiman. So don’t encourage them to use force cos the numbers are rising! They won’t hesitate to kill for the thrill
