Not sure that Kumparan photo is from the party. May be a stock photo, but the video in the Kumparan report is but one of a number that circulated on social media. https://twitter.com/WulanRussell/status/1249503181437952000
That second video carried an ironic little tag on the lower right of the screen that says: Di Rumah Aja. In the Indonesian language it means "Just stay at home". #dirumahaja
Today, social media is awash with apologies over that party in Cemagi, including this one posted on Instagram by @infobadung "An immediate apology was conveyed by a guest who had a birthday party last night in the midst of the Covid-19 plague," it reads. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-6X8oBgsRa/
Apparently, the birthday boy is a civil pilot, presumably grounded by the #COVID19Pandemic, who has had his party wings clipped for now. I suspect he won't forget this birthday for a long time to come. And it may yet prove to be the gift that keeps on giving.
Today, the Cemagi village head (in brown uniform) issued a warning to the foreigners who held the party at the luxury villa in Cemagi, & it appears to have made the Metro TV news, though there's only a still here. #Bali https://twitter.com/Metro_TV/status/1249642713194082305
Apparently the party villa is one of four in a luxury living complex that includes a Club House where residents of the villas can mingle with their family & guests & use facilities that include a 14 meter pool, restaurant, cafe, gym, & children's day care.
In further fallout from the party, the cavalry arrived today to shut down the Club House, though many of the people there might not even have been at the party. Local pecalang - community police/wardens - are giving orders & closing a door to the property. https://twitter.com/GedeUbung/status/1249649111587930112
And some more "bloody-minded foreign tourists" ran afoul of the #Bali authorities when they refused to leave Watu Klotok Beach in Klungkung Regency & return to their lodgings on Saturday (11 April ). The group of about 10 surfers nearly got a whacking. https://balidiscovery.com/news/hang-ten-hit-ten-hit-the-road
Meanwhile, just down the road from Cemagi, at one of Bali's popular surf spots, Pererenan Beach, this morning (14 April), there were more surfers climbing through & around the barricades blocking the beach. https://twitter.com/punapibali/status/1249860989652070403
