A collection of excuses by the gov regarding the situation in North India:

- There’s a lockdown. We HAVE to wait till it is revoked. CANNOT do anything until then.

- Maldivian is not sending us the schedule. We’ll have to wait till they do.

- Students cannot cross state borders.
[Acting High Commissioner herself guaranteed students will be allowed to cross state borders with a valid ticket]

- That’s all the way in the North.
[ended up bringing people all the way from Malaysia. also went all the way to South Africa and Mauritius]

- We are prioritising. Medical students first, Aasanda patients + vulnerable Maldivians second and then hopefully you guys.
