I’ve seen like, 10 posts TODAY about people agonizing over not knowing how the fuck bra sizing works and I’m just here to say that is so valid because fuck the US and Victoria’s Secret for fucking that shit up for so many years ANYWAY THREAD OF BRA SIZING RESOURCES AND INFO WOO
Okay first off let’s get this clear: bra sizing is NOT standardized - ESPECIALLY in the United States. Brands can decide whatever the fuck they want a D cup to look like to make every little girl out there insecure and in things that don’t fit to buy more product.
Second, most brands in the US stop at DD or DDD when in reality that is barely even a fraction of sizes available. Many brands that carry fuller size ranges that focus on fit go all the way to a K or sometimes even farther.
All these things and more bring me to my main point: where can you get educated and treat yourself to the well fitting bra that you deserve
The best way by far in my opinion is to look locally in your area for a bra fit specialist store. Most are small businesses that carry European and Uk brands. Nothing can beat going in, getting measured properly and then physically trying on bras at a store that has OPTIONS
However I do understand that many if not most don’t have a store like that in there area. Do not worry! There are many online resources to help you explore and look into what you need.
The subreddit /abrathatfits is an amazing resource and has a fit guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/beginners_guide It is also a great way to get recommendations for styles for your shape if you’re unfamiliar with where to look.
Next is this website: https://whatbrasizeslooklike.wordpress.com/  Look at what a well fit bra should look like! There shouldn’t be any spillage, no wires floating off your body and/or digging into you, no more bands riding up your back and straps digging into the shoulders.
Before I go on let me get this out: shape matters just as much as cup size! Not all boobs are made the same and the good brands out there understand that! Whether you have firm, soft, augmented, projected or sloped boobies there is a bra out there for you!! Now let’s find it-
Since most brands with full size runs are overseas they can sometimes be hard to get a hold of. Here are some of my personal favorite websites to shop at!
http://Brastop.com  and http://herroom.com  are two great sites that sell many brands where you can shop by size and have a large selection - there are more out there like this but these two are my personal favs!
Maybe brands have direct to consumer websites with their own guides to their brands. Some of my personal favs that really take for seriously are Anita, Montelle, Curvy Kate, The Little Bra Company, Ewa Michalak and Comexim. All of these brands also have specialties!
Many of these websites that have full size ranges and specialize in fit will also be on the pricier side - especially with those EU shipping costs. A well fit bra will always last longer in the long run but you shouldn’t feel obligated to shop anywhere if you cannot afford it.
That’s why I like websites like herroom because you can usually catch some sweet deals on most brands!! Invest in yourself because you’re worth it and get those discounts at the same time!
And at the end of the day it comes down to what you want and need. Never sacrifice your personal comfort! Even if the numbers say something should fit but you’re uncomfortable- listen to your body!
I’ll end it here with this: a well fit bra can change your life and then some! I’m super happy to share the resources that I use daily at my job and for myself.
I fit bras for a living and manage a store that specializes in that specifically so it’s obviously a huge passion of mine. I hope this thread has helped at least one person and I wish everyone who has made it this far good luck on your future booby adventures!
