Morning all. Lost all of yesterday to chest-aching anxiety. Long time since I've had that. Better today. Hope you are all ok and coping with the inevitable ups and downs.
Before I started taking anti-depressants (also anti-anxiety) I used to have anxiety almost continuously, triggered by having my daughter and a prolonged period of post-natal depression.
I realise that I spent 10 years with anxiety, worrying endlessly that my loved ones would die, going to the doctors with endless imaginary illnesses. And having adrenalin rushing around my body, which makes it impossible to even sit still and relax. Uncomfortable all of the time.
And I drank to numb those feelings. Not ideal at all! I'm sharing, because I know I'm not alone. And also, if there is anyone following me who thinks anxiety is just worrying too much and you can tell people to not worry. It really is a lot more consuming than that.
I am assuming anxiety levels are very high for many right now. Look after yourselves - talk to your GP, do not suffer alone. If you need to go to bed, then do that. If you need to take anti-Ds, then do that. Sending you my love and solidarity. DMs open. xx
