exploring breath of the wild

I’m around 20 hours into the game so far and I’m at the first divine beast? Im not too sure whether that’s fast or slow but I’m gonna assume slow cuz I’m too dumb for this game and also I keep getting distracted

so far tho I am enjoying this game way more than I am ocarina of time, it just seems less frustrating, there’s also so much detail which I always enjoy in a game.

omg I just realized after finishing vah ruta that the voice speaking to link was mipha and not zelda skaksks why do they have the same accent

anyways yes I did finish my first divine beast, it took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out the puzzles, and I ended up dying probably around 10 times before I beat the boss, hindsight the boss was p easy tho. I’m assuming this is probably the easiest beast

zora’s domain is so pretty but it was such a pain to get to, I guess some of it was my fault tho lol I didn’t even look at the map I just went in the general direction of the mission pin, so I like deviated so much from the path. I was watching a lp and there were so many scenes

where sidon talks to link along the path and I literally only triggered one scene sidon is so cute omg I love how he’s so earnest and peppy and it was so cool that the game has him play alongside with link. speaking of, I literally thought I would’ve beat the beast just

by stopping the water flow lmaaaao I was like wait I still have to go in?? honestly cuz I had the hardest time beating that, I didn’t know I could use crynosis to break the ice cubes, I think I actually died more than when I fought waterblight ganon

decided to go to gerudo next cuz it interests me more than the other two regions. as usual, I hella strayed away from the main path to arrive at gerudo town lmao

sneaking into the yiga clan hideout is soooo annoying omg, honestly I had to cheat and look up how to get to the boss, I snuck my way into the final room but thought it was just a dead end so I like ended up replaying it a few more times before I cheated

the boss was so easy tho, I remember being like “I only have 5 mins to beat the boss??” cuz I had to go to work and I beat him in that amount of time

I also did the attack on naboris with riju in one go as opposed to like the 15 tries with sidon I used up like all but one bomb arrow tho cuz I didn’t use the golden bow at first, what a waste of free arrows

vah naboris is hard, I can tell it’s supposed to be the last beast to beat, it took me a long time just to unlock the map lmfao but tbh I don’t remember the struggle with solving the puzzles that much (even tho it was substantial) just cuz the amount of time it took to beat

thunderblight ganon was soooooo much longer than solving all the puzzles. straight up it took me 30 tries, but at least I was able to do it. mipha’s weapon helped so much omg cuz it’s so light it attacks quickly. I think I was using the eightfold blade all along and

when I finally switched to the lightscale trident is when I finally won. to think I had to remake this weapon tho I dropped it on purpose cuz I wanted to save it for later and I didn’t know the game doesn’t keep your weapons where you dropped it

urbosa is so pretty and so cool, at the end when she said like tell the princess not to blame herself or something and her voice breaks this game is too sad... I want more content with the champions

urbosa’s fury is op af tho, it straight up feels like a cheat to have it this early in the game, I’ll try not to abuse this ability lmao. I’ve already beaten two hinoxes with it tho I don’t think I could’ve done it without the ability

oh god I’ve straight up beaten ganon and haven’t even updated this thread at all, I just got so carried away with playing and got too lazy to backtrack and write all my thoughts down lol

anyways this is definitely one of the best games I’ve ever played, no surprises there. I’m looking forward to botw2 so much! really excited to see what direction they’ll take it in
