It’s easy to look at the crazy side of evangelicalism and think that that represents all of evangelicalism. It doesn’t.
But the sane ones are either too nice or unwilling to call the crazies out. It’s about time they start.

It’s about the the heart and soul of Christianity and whether Christians can put actions behind their faith.
Love your neighbor as yourself whoever they are?

I mean, where in the Bible does it say “Thou shall be conservative AND republican”? It doesn’t say that.
You don’t have to be that. God loves you regardless.
But it does say “Love God and love your neighbor as yourself.”

Jesus never told us to seek power. And he himself rejected it at every turn even when everybody wanted to put a crown on his head.
It’s time we took that seriously and stopped acting like we deserve power, money, and comfort.
