Chinese netizens, frustrated by the #nnevyy saga, attacked Tourism Authority of Thailand @tat_india on Weibo for "failing to control fellow Thai's mouth". Some threatened stopped going to Thailand.

Thai authority responded the artiste's remark does not represent the country.

#nnevvy's bf @bbrightvc was strongly condemned over Weibo. "To develop your career in China, you & dearest have to express political stance clearly," one alleged.

"WHO named coronavirus as COVID-19. Shut up if she doesn’t know how to pronounce it.And you too," another wrote.
