Story time

1. Once Prophet pbuh was sitting inside Masjid with his companions and a guy comes over and asks him something interesting.

Guy: Whom do you love most?

Prophet: Aisha r.a.
2. Guy: I meant among the men

Prophet: Aisha's father

As an Arab expressing or even acknowledging love for your wife was considered unmanly and below man's dignity. Arabs did take pride in expressing love for their beloveds but not their wives.
3. And then there was our Prophet announcing his love from the pulpit of mosque! What's more interesting is that instead of saying Abu Bakr r.a. He again made reference to his wife Hazrat Aisha!
4. Another time, Prophet pbuh went to the house of his daughter Hazrat Fatima r.a. and found her sad. He asked her reason for her sadness, she replied that she had a fight with Hazrat Ali r.a.
Hazrat Ali had left, so Prophet pbuh went out to find him.
5. He found Hazrat Ali r.a. covered in dust resting inside the masjid. Prophet saw him and coined the name "Abu Turab"- One who is covered in dust. He too was sad because of the fight.

Prophet didn't ask him what happened or who was at fault. He simply asked Hazrat Ali to
6. follow him back to their home. Upon reaching back, Prophet sat between both of them, took Hazrat Ali's hand and put Hazrat Fatima's hand over it then asked them to say that they've ended their fight.
That's it. He didn't ask them to call for truce. No! Just end your fight.
7. Also, He didn't ask them about the fight because then they would have to relive their fight and things would have become bitter.

When you are forgive someone don't start to discuss the fight because if you do you would have to relive the moments of agony.

Forgive and forget
