Virtual Pilgrim - Te Araroa Day 391
Early in the morning,
struggling with Easter.
Reread the Easter Gospel,
words of Jesus to
Mary Magdalene linger:
‘Woman, why are you weeping?’
Let me count the ways:
• For Tim Brooke Taylor and all beloved who died before their time.

• For Tim Brooke Taylor and all beloved who died before their time.
• For women and men in care homes, staff and residents, NHS staff and patients lacking basic PPE, let alone secure PPE, defenceless against the virus
, stoic
• For people who mourn the loss of loved ones, separate in grief, unable to cling to a hand or should for comfort

• For families whose relationships are being rent apart by close confinement, fears for the future, lack of money to buy food & pay the rent.
• For people blithely carrying on as if the rules don’t apply, business as usual.
• For love unknown shown by friend and stranger.

• For grief at not being able to help or participate in any way; for five years in #chronicillness isolation and it’s impact
• For fury at decisions missed that could have saved so much grief, and the protection of reputation over lives; for the narratives veiling the truth

• For so many reasons I weep.
The one in the garden listens.
And hears.
All hearts.
‘Breathe through the heats
of our desire
thy coolness and thy balm; ...’
Breathing through.
