I already know most of you aren't ready to here what I'm about to say, and that's a YOU problem
I just... its endless this week, and this is the last straw for me before we go into a new week. So lets talk about this.. this reaction to finding out mg was positively discusssed in a recent article by GMA network
God.... where even to begin this time.
Like the heteros never cease to amaze me, but y’all that are into BL take it to another level.

Seeing WHY people want this removed really set me off. In the tone you can see a decided lack of care and concern for actual gay people.

Instead there's this
misguided effort to stifle silence & remove exposure in an effort to protect a fandom & the artist they claim to love & support.
To try & stifle exposure to your fave, & negatively impact their career, in a misguided effort to reduce toxicity is a form of toxicity in and of itself

You're literally getting in the way of them being seen and getting more work.
Exposure brings in opportunities and income

I don’t hate to break it to you that they’re ready for this; because they deal with their toxic fanbases everyday

It's YOU that isn’t ready. As ALWAYS; everything is about YOU.
Your feelings, your sensitivity, your breaking points
But what's worse than that is the stifling of potential access to other gays in that country, or to those who need to be exposed to gays even via a fictional story.

Further, to be MORE concerned with two of your faves success and exposure bringing them toxicity,
Than the entire community it actually exposes and the ways that it can both cause them harm and scrutiny but can also benefit from that exposure is so harmful and shortsighted;

Especially when that’s the self same community that you are exploiting in your fetishist fanfics
& delulu fantasies -

You really have gone too far.

Do you know HOW countries with better rights (emphasis on *better*, because there is truly no place safe if you’re gay) for gays got there?
It wasn’t overnight

It wasn’t a given

It took WORK

It took TEARS

It. Took receiving HATE and bearing VIOLENCE

and TIME and EFFORT

It took

EXPOSURE

by non-gays to stories that made us real people for those who wanted to hate us and kill us and shut us up.
You live in a homophobic country???

Get in line.
Your country doesn’t want gays???

Get

in

line.
There is nowhere that we are wanted and at best the places that aren’t actively killing or trying to kill us: tolerate us.

But even that doesn’t happen overnight

It got better with shows like queer as folk and the L word, and activism and people sacrificing their safety
It began with people who weren’t willing to see us as human seeing these characters and hearing their stories because THAT humanized us.

Hiding gays doesn’t make people learn to see and accept them/
It requires endless sacrifice and endless demands to be seen and heard when people want you to revert or go into hiding or disappear

Y’all don’t know shit about struggle about what gays go through and have to go through beyond your own perfectly insulated ideals and it shows
What’s worse is some of you are IN this community. And you haven’t learned the history of gays rights in the world

since the beginning of time,

the details of the persecution that has always been rampant, and how anyone who succeeded anytime ever; did so
I invite you to fucking do some research instead of popping off on the internet all that damn time:

Here is a - by no means exhaustive - list of first in LGBTQIA+ communities starting from the 1800s on: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LGBT_firsts_by_year
but that's not the only thing is does that's important. it also helps us accept and understand or recognize ourselves leading to our being able to process and accept our own identities:

Homosexuality"
