ok so my dad is really supportive of kpop and whatnot and has been for a while so today i helped him learn the members of shinee and he got everyone with names (he normally doesnt focus on members specifically)

(Turning this into a mini thread abt my dad’s thoughts ^^)

also ! he’s heard and seen a lot of shinee along with other kpop artists with me (ever since about a year ago) , its just this is about the members names and faces connecting to voices and not just the group overall like normal, which is fairly new so i wanted to talk abt it !!

jjong- he said he knew jonghyun because he focused on his solo work/mv’s the most out of the others before today. He really likes the music jjong’s produced, his voice, and the she is mv. he said jjong is probably his favorite member if he has to decide.

jinki- he started to get jinki from him being the leader and his vocals. Ontop of that my dad said “its hard to remember who he is at first, but if he’s smiling then all his facial features make him really recognizable for me”

kibum- i told him abt key’s eyebrow scar but he also focused on his facial features but he still seemed to struggle w getting kibum to memory so i showed him the cold mv and the 2x dances to help with key and eventually he got him memorized :)

minho- my dad got minho memorized very easily and probably the earliest besides jjong. he said his face structure was memorable and that he has strong features. he also remembered the im home sm station from when we watched it so that helped a little :)

taemin- at first he mixed up taemin with other members, but we started out with “the youngest member and the one in superm” and then eventually he got taemin. what also helped was his longer hair in sherlock and lucifer eras.
