While I'm enjoying being at home and saving lives, there has to be a practical approach at some point given what we know about the virus to date.
It does seem that keeping the vulnerable at distance is one approach. People need to get back socialising again. But how?
Is one answer to keep the 60+ and vulnerable at home? Offer unlimited sick leave to the 50 and below so if they start showing symptoms, immediate testing and self isolation of all contacts until test results come through? Or do we just wait until 7 days of 0 new cases?
And no, that's not advocating for elderly genocide at all. Good God. If we keep them at home, pay them 80% of the average wage, all their online shopping will come back into the economy. When and if there is a vaccine, we can give it to the 60+. We all need to limit travel.
60+ can still go out, but take precautions.

People under 50 who might have a relapse need to be monitored. It's easier to deal with as few hospital admissions as possible. Reacting to the viruses strengths is how to win.

How is that asking for genocide? Far out.
