hello, everybody. i got a bit heated earlier - may have mentioned something about casting molotovs instead of ballots - but i think it is worthwhile to discuss why many voters feel justified not giving biden their vote even when his opponent is trump.
this position comes from what i can only describe as a lack of faith in US democracy that has been ingrained into us ever since the 2000 presidential election. the people who are not voting for biden actually want trump out just as much as you do - probably more.
in service of this goal we& #39;re pursuing other avenues of exerting political power than an electoral system that has proven itself time and time again to be, at very, best wildly unreliable and arcane. general strikes, union organizing, local elections less vulnerable to tampering.
this is due to the recognition of the simple fact that trump is not an isolated incident. he will reappear, even worse, if biden is elected and resolves to simply return to a 2016 paradigm, because that paradigm is what spawned the trump movement in the first place.
i understand that i am largely preaching to the choir here, but i guess if nothing else you can point the next person who incoherently shrieks vote blue no matter who at this thread so you don& #39;t have to deal with explaining yourself.
