A lot of drama today around the fact that the DSA will not endorse Joe Biden, because he is not a socialist. Contextual fact: DSA also refused to endorse Larry Krassner (who is a socialist) for not being a socialist.

Additional contextual fact: altho I do not have proof, my strong suspicion is that the number of Philly DSA members who voted for Krassner anyway was either 98%, 99%, or 100%.

Of course, Larry Krassner is not exactly Joe Biden. Then again, his rivals for the office of Philadelphia District Attorney, were not Donald Trump.

This fall America is going to be an absolutely insane level of mobilized political hatred between the far right and everyone else, taking place in unpredictable & unprecedented disaster conditions.

We’ll need every vote and the good news is, at least from the left, we’ll get almost every one. A handful of loydly sectarian people will expose their lack of influence, hopefully weakening sectarianism in the new, growing american left.

But a lot of leftists are gonna get there in their own way & pace, and for now the best thing to do is to let them. Hectoring or lecturing people at this moment just burns bridges by trying to drag people over them at the wrong moment.

Larry Krassner is today the DA of Philadelphia. And the Democratic nominee- be that Joe Biden, his vp after a doctor’s note is produced this summer, or possibly just a framed picture of Barack Obama- will get more votes than Donald Trump, including 95% of Sanders supporters’.
