adrien agreste is a rich white kid from france who models. his father is absent, but when his father is there, he’s mentally abusive. adrien has been forced through the rigorous modeling system that requires certain body weights and certain standards. he has had no control over +
his life since the day he was born. his mother would do anything for him, and adrien loves his mother. adrien is also very intelligent, he speaks chinese and plays the piano. also adrien was locked up for all of his life before recently. and adrien wants to impress his dad.
draco malfoy was a rich white kid from britain whose father was also very absent and very abusive as well. draco was forced to grow up in a toxic household filled with greed and racism. he didn’t know this was wrong because he was locked up all his life until hogwarts. +
draco would have done ANYTHING for his mother, but his father scares him. draco has been shown to shake or flinch at the second of his father being near him, and he would do anything to impress daddy malfoy. does this sound like another boy we know?
they both have canonically have evil times, with draco’s racism (that i do not support) and chat blanc, but they do deserve some respect to how they were raised. i’m not saying this is an excuse, but i am saying they were raised very similarly.
also how ironic that both of their first friends are rich entitled spoiled brats who only enforced the toxicity that their families exposed. they’re are the opposite ends with how you can go being raised like that. +
for example, adrien has been a soft, shy boy but he isn’t mean or rude and he protects people. the second he gets powers, he doesn’t question it and he is always ready to help. adrien had a tendency to want to try everything and make it all perfect, also something he got from dad
while on the other hand, draco has had powers and used them for bad. he’s been racist and very rude. he abuses his power (something he learned from his father) and forgets that he’s really just a sad weak boy from a toxic house. he builds these walls up and doesn’t let anyone +
in. draco doesn’t deserve excuses, but don’t forget about how they got here.
end of thread but these boys would be so fucking powerful if they just teamed up and kissed the guys they’re in love with already. aka drarry and lukadrien. and let’s be fair, they’d be too powerful to be gay.
